How Are We Making an Impact?
The Whitney Ranch Charitable Foundation strives to impact the community in ways that are real and lasting. The means by which we accomplish this goal include funding specific research projects, partnering with Sutter Roseville Medical Foundation to purchase needed equipment, and encouraging community participation in our events and programs. Together these elements create a legacy that lives on not only in the tangible results of the research we fund, but in the hearts of those who support us along the way.
Strokes4Hope
Strokes4Hope is an annual Golf Tournament that benefits the research efforts of Dr. Hope Rugo. Dr. Rugo is a medical oncologist and hematologist at UCSF who helped Debbie Scott throughout her battle against breast cancer. Debbie also received her oncology care at Sutter Roseville, who we've partnered with to assist in financial support of breast cancer equipment needed.
Golfers get to spend the whole day laughing with friends, drinking beer, and winning awesome prizes in special contests throughout the course. The day culminates with a light-hearted dinner and raffle. We were covered in the Local News last year and expect to have even more press this year.
